Media Player entirely coded in Python using wxPython to develop its GUI. It also fetches metadata from mp3 files and smartly renames the file including Title , Artist Name excluding any URL’s encountered, if any. Extensions it supports include mp3, avi, mid, mpg, wav, wma.
Drag and drop
Smart renaming of files
Video Playback
Seeker
No history of opened files in the OS file browser
It extracts the metadata of only the MP3 files for now. Still in Beta stage. Give it a try!

This demo is still really experimental and it doesn’t work in all browsers the same. Only Chrome and Safari till now. Will code for the rest soon. It’s HTML, Javascript with heaps of CSS. Oh and the song is I Can See Clearly Now by Johny Nash.
See the demo here.
